Customer Quotes
Price the job, send it to the customer's phone, and turn their yes into a booking in a click.
Price the Job Before You Start
A quote is built from the same pieces as a jobsheet, so there is nothing new to learn. Pick the car and the customer, add the service, then price labour and parts in their own sections while Garage Shift works out the VAT and the quoted total. Drafts save as you go and only you can see them. When it is ready, send it by email, by WhatsApp from your own number, or both.
- Labour and parts priced in separate sections
- Parts from your catalogue come up as you type
- VAT and the quoted total worked out for you
- Add a new customer or car without leaving the quote
- Send by email, WhatsApp, or both, valid for 14 days

Customers Answer in One Tap
Your customer gets a link to their own quote page: what is included, the total with VAT, your note and how long the price stands. There is no app to download and no account to create. They press Accept or Decline, and you hear about it straight away in Garage Shift, with a WhatsApp alert too if your team gets new-booking alerts there.
- A clear quote page that works on any phone
- Accept or Decline, with no login
- Instant notification when a customer answers
- A sent quote is fixed, so the agreed price is the price on record

Allowances only — we'll agree a date with you once you accept.
A note from us
Your front pads are down to 2mm and the discs are lipped, so we'd do both together.
Accepted Quotes Become Bookings
Nothing lands on your calendar until you decide when the work happens. Every accepted quote waits on your dashboard as a task to book in. Press Create booking and the new booking opens already filled in with the car, the customer and the service with its time. Pick a slot, save, and the quote is marked Booked in.
- Accepted quotes wait on your dashboard until they are booked
- Car, customer and service carried straight into the booking
- Each quote links to the job it became

Customer Quotes, answered.
More in the full FAQs, or read the guide to garage management software.
- How long is a quote valid for?
- Fourteen days from the day you send it, and the customer's quote page shows the date. After that the quote shows as expired and the customer can no longer accept it. Duplicate it to send a fresh one.
- Can I change a quote after I've sent it?
- No, and that is deliberate: once a quote is sent, the price the customer sees is the price on record. To revise it, duplicate the quote as a new draft, change what you need and send it under a new number. You can also cancel a sent quote, which stops the customer's link working.
- Does my customer need an account to accept a quote?
- No. They open the link from the email or WhatsApp message and press Accept or Decline. There is nothing to download and nothing to sign up for.
- Can I quote for extra work I found during a service?
- Yes. Raise a quote straight from a completed job and the customer and car are filled in for you. The quote stays linked to the job it came from, and the job shows the quote in its history.
