- Where do the vehicle details come from?
- Live DVSA data. Type the registration and make, model, colour, fuel type, MOT expiry and tax status fill in automatically — so the record is right from the first job and stays right afterwards.
- Is history kept against the customer or the vehicle?
- The vehicle. That is the distinction that separates garage software from general trade software: when a customer rings about work you did in March, you find it by reg, and when the vehicle changes hands the history stays with it.
- Can I import the records I already have?
- In most cases, yes. Customer lists, vehicle details and often service history import from a spreadsheet (CSV), and migration is included in the price rather than quoted separately.
- What if a customer has more than one vehicle?
- Each vehicle carries its own record and its own history under the one customer, so a family with three cars or a small fleet stays organised by reg rather than collapsing into a single list of jobs.
