- Is this for garages or for car owners?
- For garages. This is the tool your garage uses to remind its own customers. If you are a car owner wanting a reminder for your own vehicle, the free GOV.UK MOT reminder service at gov.uk/mot-reminder is what you want.
- Where do the MOT expiry dates come from?
- Live DVSA data, checked daily. You are not maintaining a list and the dates do not go stale. If a vehicle is MOT'd elsewhere, the date updates and the reminder adjusts.
- Will customers get chased more than once?
- No. A reminder goes out once per MOT cycle, at the number of days before expiry that you choose. You can also exclude individual customers in a couple of clicks and choose which customer types receive reminders at all.
- What does the reminder email look like?
- It goes out under your garage's name, not ours. It can carry a 'Book your MOT' link straight into your online booking page, or your phone number, email and address if you would rather they called.
- Does this actually bring work back?
